TWO-WAY DIGITAL DATA IN LICENSED UHF SPECTRUM

What We Offer

U.S. Television LLC offers for purchase LPTV station in Honolulu, HI (KHHI 36) which is authorized by Congress in the Digital Data Services Act of 2000 and by the FCC’s Order on Reconsideration of 2002 to completely convert its licensed spectrum to providing two-way digital data services.

This spectrum has been called “beachfront property”, as its UHF signals are virtually impervious to atmospheric attenuation and can be transmitted through foliage and buildings. It is perfectly suited to implement data services throughout authorized coverage areas using a number of the “booster stations” deployed throughout the service areas as authorized by the DDSA. This spectrum is situated only slightly lower in the UHF spectrum band than the UHF spectrum sold in the Incentive Auction of 2017 for $19.6 billion.

Services

Wireless networks require two-way radiofrequency spectrum to function, and the reliability of their wireless communications is affected by radiofrequency interference. U.S. Television LLC can provide interference-free spectrum which enables those networks to function as intended.

HONOLULU

As shown on the attached propagation map above, the station, when built out for two-way data services, can cover the entire population of the metropolitan area.
